March 3rd saw the STA cafeteria transformed into a bustling restaurant as the first ever STAghetti dinner took place. The dinner was held to help raise funds for STA students traveling to the Dominican Republic this April. The dinner featured some student and staff entertainment, door and raffle prizes, and of course a delicious meal.

STA students will be running hard to beat their third place finish among Oakville High Schools at last year’s CIBC Run for the Cure event. Last year STA finished third in donations raised by a school. This is pretty impressive when you consider STA is one of the smallest schools in the area.

This past Wednesday June 10th, the students of St. Thomas Aquinas came out to support their fellow students running in the Special Olympics torch run. Many students lined the sidewalk to cheer on those who had made the run which ended with the students sprinting up Rebecca St. to the expectant throng of well-wishers.Â

On Tuesday, May 26, STA students and teachers participated in the Ride for Life fundraiser for cancer research. Though sweaty and tired, spirits were high while STA pedalled its way into history in our first ever involvement in the event.
