It all started with a naive teenage girl, hiding in the same place for years, who kept a diary that wasn’t exactly filled with our modern day “teenage angst”. This girl’s name was Anne Frank, and her story is being told this year on our very own stage.
That’s right, STA Theater Aquinas will be taking on The Diary of Anne Frank and will bring Anne’s story to life towards the end of 2016. Set during the tragic events of World War II, a young girl and her family hide from the dangers that threaten to hunt them down. Based on true events, the school’s production of The Diary of Anne Frank promises to be one of their best productions yet.
Though casting has already been set in stone, this year’s school play offers fellow Raiders many backstage opportunities to help bring the story to life. If you are interested, make sure you stay tuned for more details on how you can help this year’s school play shine. Remember that even the smallest things can help make something magical; after all, there is no ‘I’ in team (and there’s no ‘I’ in theater either).
Even you can’t be on-stage or off-stage, keep your eyes peeled for future ticket sales; The Diary of Anne Frank is something you definitely don’t want to miss.
