On Friday, October 14, STA held its annual University Day. Every year universities across Canada come in for a day to talk to the potential graduates. The Grade 12 students were encouraged to sign up for the presentations that took place throughout the day to get more information about their possible schools for next year.
Representatives from Brock, U of T, McMaster, Western, York, Queen’s, and Wilfrid Laurier University came into the theatre and spoke to the potential graduates. Some of the things mentioned during the presentations were the requirements for university, the application process, the deadlines for applying, and scholarships. It was a great opportunity for the Grade 12s to learn more about the university they plan on going to and get prepared for next year.
The presentations were only for students in Grade 12 but don’t worry, if you’re in Grade 11 you’ll get your chance next year.
